1. Aftermath

If the death of Gamer Zone seemed a little anti-climactic, it was. I really tried to portray through the writing my mental state it was in at the time. I’m not an amazing author – I’m sure Stephen King would have written it so well you’d feel those same emotions with the main character. But I did what I could. Sometimes its flat and depressing. Sometimes it’s excited and manic. In a lot of ways, I was reliving the experience. I mention this because for the first part of the aftermath, I can’t even tell you what my mental state was.

2. What Went Wrong

I can point out a thousand things that went wrong with Gamer Zone over the course of two years. But no one thing was really enough to kill it – businesses make mistakes all the time, and they don’t fall over dead because of it. If you’re starting a business, you’ll make mistakes, no matter if it’s your first time or your tenth time doing it. It’s just the nature of the beast.
But for Gamer Zone, I can narrow down the mistakes to three very specific mistakes that had signed it’s death warrant from almost the beginning.
